Koh Kret is crowded during the weekends , you could enjoy more food options and souvenirs in the weekends, but if you prefer the quiet atmosphere then drop by during the weekdays, you can still find food and some craft place opened. Take your time to enjoy the island, the design of the houses, enjoy them and feel free to wander in every corner, people will smile and smile. The temples are numerous.

Enjoy a nice massage and the green place and people of Koh Kret. It is one of my favorite places in Bangkok, and I'll keep visiting the island for its peaceful atmosphere.

The road around the island is 6km's in length,

on a man made , raised concrete structure that serves as the road, no cars are allowed on the island, but plenty of motor cycles, you can walk around the island in 3 or 4 hours, depending on coffee breaks, food breaks, the time is your own, and once away from the hustle and bustle of the market, your out in the country.

It's peaceful and quite, nature all around you, no need to go off like your on the Tour De France, just take your time, soak in the place as you go along.

Stop and take photos, look at the pottery workshops, feed your face with local, home produced cake and biscuits, Thai home made food, coffee, tea, water or juices, it's all there for you !.
